Dr. Greenapple has been in practice since 1986. He is the owner and founder of Greenapple Sports and Wellness Center. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management and Hospital Administration from the California State University Systems, and his Doctorate from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles.
Dr. Greenapple continued his postdoctoral education and earned his Certified Sports Physician degree in 1989. He is also certified and is a fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Greenapple has been an instructor of the Active Release Technique (ART) since 1993. Dr. Greenapple is certified in Dry Needling, and obtained his status through the American Dry Needle Institute in Boulder Colorado. Dr. Greenapple is also one of only a handful of doctors chosen to attend and finished a six month intensive apprenticeship sports acupuncture program in Boulder Colorado, led by one of the top sports acupuncturists in the country.
As a member of the American college of Sports Medicine, the council of sports Injuries and Physical Fitness, The Federation of International chiropractic Sportive, he has been chosen to work at numerous sporting events throughout the world. He holds specific certifications in biomechanical evaluations with emphasis on running, triathlons, and golf. He is certified in Frequency Specific Micro current, Graston Soft Tissue, and Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. He is a member of the World Association of Low Level Laser Therapy, the National Association of Low Level Laser, and is certified in both class three and four laser therapies.
Dr. Greenapple has been part of the Hawaiian Ironman World Championships since 1992, was the event coordinator in 1996, and has been treating physician at numerous Ironman events including Ironman Lake Placid, Ironman Florida, and Ironman Wisconsin. Dr. Greenapple is a six time member of the Team USA Medical staff for Triathlon and Duathlon World Championships held in Mexico, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and the US. He has been the medical director at the Great American Cross Country Race in 2001, as well as numerous other local running races. Dr. Greenapple has been part of the PGA medical/Chiropractic and PT, and has worked with numerous pro and amateur golfers. He has treated NFL players from the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins, and Dallas Cowboys. He has been the official Chiropractor for the Charlotte Sting WNBA, Charlotte Checkers (NY Rangers Affiliate). Dr. Greenapple has treated gold Medal Olympians, MLB, NHL, and top level collegiate athletes over the past 25 years. He has worked with Zapp Elite Running Team, and recently turned his attention to working with local middle school, high school and colleges for track, cross country, swimming, soccer, football, volleyball, dance and baseball. As a way of giving back to the community he lectures and provides support for the Leukemia/Lymphoma society team in training and the Galloway training program. In 2005 he was awarded the Brown Cup Award for an athlete who came back to overcome an injury or illness, after being diagnosed with cancer and competing in triathlons after surgeries.
Besides sports and family chiropractic, Dr. Greenapple specializes in performance care, evaluation, rehab, and physiotherapy. He is also very involved in energy medicine and eastern philosophies using acupuncture, dry needling, laser, kinesio tape, Appiled Kinesiology, and nutrition.
